17th Anniversary of the Shrine’s Dedication

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is honored and delighted to celebrate the 17th Anniversary of the Shrine’s Dedication on July 31st. This special day marks an opportunity to give heartfelt thanks to God for His countless blessings, and for all those who have participated so generously in the realization of His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke’s vision for this sacred place of pilgrimage under the protective mantle of Our Lady.
Since the Solemn Dedication of the Shrine Church on July 31, 2008, pilgrims have continually found spiritual nourishment and peace within this sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of America and Star of the New Evangelization. This year, the Shrine joyfully announces that the Anniversary Mass, celebrated at 12:15 pm, will be presided over by Cardinal Burke, Founder of the Shrine.
Adding to the joy of this celebration, the Shrine warmly welcomes His Eminence Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk, Archbishop of Utrecht in The Netherlands, who will honor the faithful as the homilist for this Dedication Anniversary Mass.
Following Holy Mass, a receiving line will provide pilgrims and visitors with an opportunity to greet both Cardinal Burke and Cardinal Eijk.
We invite you to join us in gratitude and prayer as we commemorate this milestone, renewing our commitment to the spiritual mission of the Shrine and seeking the continued intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe for all who journey here.
