First Class Feast of St. Joseph the Workman
The faithful are invited to make a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on May 1 to celebrate the feast of Saint Joseph the Workman, patron of the Diocese of La Crosse. Saint Joseph, through his faithful labor and humble obedience, sanctified daily work and continues to be a powerful intercessor for workers, families, and the Church.
On this feast day, the Shrine’s founder, His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, will offer a Solemn Pontifical Mass at 11:00 am. This sacred liturgy will be celebrated with great solemnity and reverence, honoring Saint Joseph’s role in the mystery of salvation and entrusting the Diocese and all who labor to his paternal care.
Following the Holy Mass, pilgrims will have the opportunity to participate in the veneration of the Shrine’s relic of Saint Joseph’s cloak, a moment of special grace and devotion.
We warmly invite all to join us for this beautiful celebration of the Holy Mass and to seek the intercession of Saint Joseph the Workman at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
