100th Anniversary Fatima Mass
Celebrated by His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke
Wednesday, December 10 at 12:15 p.m.
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe joyfully invites the faithful to attend the Holy Mass offered by His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke on December 10 at 12:15 p.m. This Holy Mass marks the 100th anniversary of the second apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, together with the Child Jesus, to Sister Lúcia dos Santos, on December 10, 1925.
On that day, the Virgin Mary revealed her Immaculate Heart encircled with thorns and asked that acts of loving reparation be offered to console her maternal Heart. The Child Jesus joined in this appeal, calling the faithful to have compassion on His Mother and to make reparation for the offenses by which her Heart is pierced. Through Sister Lúcia, Our Lady entrusted the Church with the First Saturdays Devotion for the salvation of souls and for peace in the world.
Over the past nine weeks, many have united themselves in prayer in preparation for this centennial. Even if you were not able to participate in the Nine Weeks of Prayer, you are warmly invited to attend this Mass in the Shrine Church. The Mother of God receives every act of love and reparation offered by her children, and she draws every heart to the Heart of her Divine Son.
We invite you to join Cardinal Burke and pilgrims from near and far as we honor the Infant Jesus and His Virgin Mother, unite our hearts to theirs in reparation, and ask for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart promised at Fatima. May Our Lady of Fatima lead all who come to the Shrine ever more deeply into the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
If you cannot attend in person, we invite you to watch the live stream of the Holy Mass on December 10th at 12:15 p.m. Central Time.
