Success x2, Deo Gratias, and a Request to Renew the Talent Search

Success x2, Deo Gratias, and a Request to Renew the Talent Search

Dear Friends of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Blessed Easter to you and to your families.  May you receive many graces during this sacred season.

With abundant gratitude to Our Lord and His Mother, and to you, I share two wonderful pieces of news.

First, I am pleased to say that we exceeded our goal of raising $50,000 in response to the Lenten challenge match proposed by Dan and Kary Reinerio, and two other generous donors who wish to remain anonymous.  We raised $67,500!!  My sincere thanks to all who contributed to this successful Lenten appeal.

Secondly, you may recall that in my last message, we initiated a talent search among the friends of the Shrine to fill a key role for our staff.  I am delighted to announce that request has led to the hire of our new Communications Director, Becket Ghioto.  Becket and his wife Christina will soon join us in La Crosse, and we will be richly blessed by their presence.  Please see the formal announcement below.

Finally, I wish to renew the talent search once more, trusting that our Shrine community could again prove the best source to find the right person to join the staff as a Major Gifts Officer.  This person will have the ability and the desire to establish relationships with people based on the mission of the Shrine and the messages of Our Lady to St Juan Diego.  He or she will travel regularly to broaden our donor base throughout the US, though the job calls for residence in the La Crosse area.  Excellent writing and speaking skills are required, with a minimum of five years experience in development, customer relations, financial services, marketing or sales.  However, the most important qualification is a deep commitment to the mission of the Shrine and the drive to share it with others.  If you are not that Catholic pioneer, perhaps you know someone who is, and who would greatly appreciate working for and with Cardinal Burke, as we all do on the Shrine staff.

Please email resumes to Laura Antonie:

God bless you.
