Apostolates Apostolates

Living the Mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is blessed with several apostolates that continue the mission of prayer, evangelization, and service entrusted to the Shrine.

Each apostolate offers the faithful an opportunity to live out their love for Christ and His Blessed Mother through study, devotion, music, or acts of care.
We invite you to learn more about these apostolates and join in the spiritual and corporal works that sustain the life of the Shrine.

Sacred Music

Music at the Shrine draws souls closer to God through the beauty of sacred song. The Shrine’s Sacred Music program enriches the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy and fosters prayer through the Church’s musical heritage. Events such as the annual Choir Camp for high school students offer young people opportunities to experience the joy of singing for the glory of God.

The Real Presence Association

The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association promotes devotion to Our Lord truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Through catechesis and encouragement of Eucharistic adoration, the Association helps the faithful grow in their understanding of the great mystery of Christ’s abiding presence in the Eucharist. Its work supports the Shrine’s call to ceaseless prayer before the Lord.

Marian Catechist Apostolate

The Marian Catechist Apostolate forms catechists in both doctrine and spirituality for the teaching of the Catholic faith. Guided by the words of Our Lady at Cana — “Do whatever He tells you” — Marian Catechists seek to help others know, love, and serve God in this life so as to be happy with Him forever in Heaven. Through formation and prayer, members deepen their love for Our Lord and His Church.

Our Lady’s Garden Club

Our Lady’s Garden Club helps preserve the natural beauty of the Shrine grounds as an offering of love to Our Blessed Mother. Members volunteer their time and talents to plant, water, and tend the gardens that surround the holy places of the Shrine. Through this quiet and prayerful labor, they give glory to God and honor His creation.

Consider donating your time and talent on Our Lady’s Grounds Volunteer team. Please contact the Garden Club Coordinator at (608) 782-5440 or gardenclub@guadalupeshrine.org.

Youth Guild of Saint José Sánchez del Río

The Youth Guild unites children and young people under the patronage of Saint José Sánchez del Río. Enrollment is free and open to all youths ages 2–17. Members share in the spiritual benefits of monthly Masses, receive a devotional medal, and are sent the Full of Grace youth journal — all to inspire a deep love for Christ and courage in living the faith.

United in the Mission of Our Lady

Each apostolate expresses the Shrine’s mission to draw souls to Christ through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Whether through teaching, prayer, music, or service, all are invited to participate in this work of evangelization and love.

May God reward the generosity of all who serve through these apostolates.
