Devotions at the Shrine
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is consecrated to ceaseless prayer and devotion. Through the Rosary, the veneration of the saints, and acts of consecration to Our Lady, the faithful are invited to draw nearer to Christ through His Blessed Mother’s intercession.
Cardinal Burke’s Novena and Consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Written and led by His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, this devotion unites the faithful in prayer and consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Each year, the nine-month Novena culminates on December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, when pilgrims gather at the Shrine to renew their dedication to the Mother of God.

Additional Information
The Latin Rosary
The Holy Rosary has long been a prayer of deep contemplation, guiding the faithful to meditate upon the mysteries of Christ’s life through the eyes of His Blessed Mother.
The Shrine offers the opportunity to pray the Rosary in Latin, preserving the beauty of the Church’s universal language.
Recordings of each set of Mysteries—Joyful, Sorrowful, Luminous, and Glorious—are available for those who wish to unite their prayers with those offered daily at the Shrine.
The faithful are also invited to walk the Rosary Path on the Shrine grounds, where the Mysteries are beautifully depicted in stone and prayer.

Ceaseless Prayer
In the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel, more than seven hundred candles burn continuously before the image of Our Lady.
Each flame represents a prayer—an act of faith entrusted to her care and offered for the needs of the world.
This unending light is a visible sign of the Shrine’s mission of ceaseless prayer and of the faithful who unite their petitions to those lifted daily at the altar.
“With her, we share in the triumph of the Cross.”
— Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke
