Prayer Requests
Join Us in Prayer and Devotion
At the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, every prayer offered joins the ceaseless prayer of the Church for the salvation of souls. Through the loving intercession of Our Lady, pilgrims may entrust their intentions to God in several ways.
How Would You Like to Offer Your Prayer?

Submit a Prayer Request
Entrust your needs and intentions to the Shrine community. Your petition will be remembered in daily prayers offered before the Blessed Sacrament and the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Light a Candle
Pilgrims may light a candle in the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel as a visible sign of prayer. These candles are constantly burning — a symbol of ceaseless prayer offered to God through the Blessed Mother.

Request a Mass
Have a Mass offered for a loved one or special intention by one of the Shrine’s priests. Each request is a sacred participation in the Church’s greatest prayer, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

“Prayer is God’s gift to us, the stirring of the Holy Spirit in us to lift our mind and heart to God. When we pray, we put ourselves in God’s presence, and turn ourselves over to God who is always present with us so that the Holy Spirit can inspire the union of our mind and heart with God.”
– Cardinal Burke
Prayer Requests
Place your needs and intentions in the care of the Shrine community. They will be remembered each day in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and the sacred image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Light a Candle
Pilgrims may place their prayers in God’s hands through the lighting one or more of the 700 votive candles in the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel. The candles are constantly burning to represent the ceaseless prayer of God’s children and of their heavenly Mother for the salvation of our world.
Pilgrims can request a candle to be lit for periods of weeks, months, or years.
Request a Mass
Online Mass requests will be offered in the Shrine Church by the Norbertines, or by Franciscans of the Immaculate in their missions around the world.
The Shrine is blessed with several new priests who offer our Mass intentions. Asking for an intention guarantees that it will be offered in the next 12 months, but we are not in a position to guarantee any specific dates, times, and locations. Effective July 1, 2024, all the Dioceses in the Province of Milwaukee have increased single Mass stipends to $20 per Mass, and this directive also applies to the Shrine. We thank you for your understanding and entrusting these Mass intentions to us. For further questions, feel free to reach out to Fr. Zachary Edgar, Director of Sacred Liturgy.
Join the Shrine in Prayer
Unite your intentions with those of pilgrims around the world. Whether through a candle, a Mass, or a simple prayer, your faith strengthens our shared devotion.
