Aleluia! He is risen! On this most joyous day of the year, Cardinal Burke and Father Edward Nemeth reflect on the account of the risen Lord’s encounter with Mary Magdalene in John 20.
This is a wonderful reminder to us, when we have questions of faith or when we become preoccupied with the cares of this world, to remember that the tomb was empty. And, if we live a life of grace in union with the Church and the sacraments, then our tomb will be empty on the final day, too.
This reflection on Easter Sunday is the final part of Cardinal Burke’s Lenten series with the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
