Dedication Anniversary
You are invited to come and celebrate the 17th Anniversary of the Shrine’s Dedication, a day to thank God for all who have shared in Cardinal Burke’s vision for this place of pilgrimage under Our Lady’s mantle since the church’s Solemn Dedication on July 31, 2008. The 12:15 pm Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Burke.
Cardinal Eijk
For this year’s Anniversary, the Shrine has the profound joy of also welcoming His Eminence Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk, Archbishop of Utrecht in The Netherlands. Cardinal Ejik will be the homilist for the Dedication Anniversary Mass.
Receiving Line for Two Cardinals
Following the offering of the Holy Mass, there will be receiving lines for both Cardinal Burke and for Cardinal Eijk. You are invited to meet and greet both cardinals.
Roses for Our Lady
On July 31, 2008, the Shrine Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe was solemnly dedicated to the glory of Almighty God and under the maternal protection of His Virgin Mother. Since that day, tens of thousands of pilgrims have come to this holy place to encounter Christ through prayer, the Sacraments, and the loving intercession of Our Lady.
To mark the seventeenth anniversary of this sacred event, join me in an act of spiritual and visible devotion: to offer roses to Our Lady, as a sign of your love for her and your trust in her unfailing care.

Dedication of the Shrine Church. Archbishop Raymond L. Burke was the main celebrant at the Mass of Dedication. Cardinals Justin Rigali and Francis George, and over twenty (20) archbishops/ bishops and over one hundred (100) priests, joined the hundreds of faithful inside the new church. Over sixty (60) Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre and over twenty-five (25) Knights of Columbus Honor Guard were also present.
