Divine Mercy Sunday 2025
Come to the Shrine on the Feast of Divine Mercy. It will be a day of approaching the Sacred Heart of Jesus with great faith, trust, and appreciation. Offer your prayers. And rejoice in Our Lord’s unfathomable mercy!
Divine Mercy & Saint Faustina
Our Lord’s promises regarding this feast show His desire to give generously from His divine abundance. “I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners,” Jesus told St. Faustina. “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment” (Diary of St. Faustina, §699). In a time when so many feel lost or alone, our Savior offers the hope of His perfect love: “Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace” (§1074)… Read More

To Fittingly Observe the Feast of Mercy, We Should:
1. Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter.
2. Sincerely repent of all our sins.
3. Place our complete trust in Jesus.
4. Go to Confession.
5. Receive Holy Communion.
6. Venerate* the Image of Divine Mercy.
7. Be merciful to others, through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.
How to Worthily Receive the Eucharist
To receive the Extraordinary Graces of this Feast, the only condition is to receive Holy Communion worthily on Divine Mercy Sunday by making a good confession beforehand and staying in the state of grace, and trusting in His Divine Mercy.
A Plenary Indulgence can be obtained by fulfilling the usual conditions.**
What is the Veneration of a Sacred Image?
To venerate a sacred image simply means to perform an act of religious respect toward it because of the person whom it represents.
**The extraordinary graces promised to the faithful by our Lord Himself through St. Faustina should not be confused with the plenary indulgence.
Six Mass Guilds
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe offers six Mass guilds, one for each saint displayed in the Shrine’s side altars: Saint Faustina Kowalska, Saint Maria Goretti, Saint Peregrine, Saint Gianna Molla, Blessed Miguel Pro, and Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. Those enrolled are remembered by the Shrine’s priests at Holy Masses monthly and are entrusted to the patronage of one of these holy men and women. You may enroll yourself or a loved one, living or deceased.
Enrollment is offered for one year or in perpetuity-as long as the Shrine will offer Masses.
