Full of Grace – January Issue 2024
Full of Grace Youth Journal Dives into the Liturgy in the New Year!
With a new year comes a new focus for the Full of Grace Youth Journal!
Focusing on the Liturgy
This year, Full of Grace, a monthly journal for members of The Youth Guild of Saint José Sánchez del Río, enters a sacred space—a space we call the liturgy. Throughout 2024, we’re going to dive into the biblical roots of the liturgy, the ways in which the Old Testament prefigures the Mass, and how God works in our lives through our worship.
Catechesis
In this issue, we look at the roots of liturgy by exploring the Garden of Eden. We see that the beginning of creation was the beginning of worship, in heaven and on earth. We also see that liturgy is “the work of God” for our creation and redemption. As the Catechism states,
“Creation was fashioned with a view to the sabbath and therefore for the worship and adoration of God. Worship is inscribed in the order of creation.”
Getting Questions Answered!
Also, January’s Full of Grace introduces Deacon Kabat, a new addition to the Shrine. Deacon Kabat offers a Message to Youth and answers real questions submitted by Youth Guild members!
READ JANUARY’S PUBLICATION!
The theme of liturgy will continue next month by looking at liturgy after the Fall.
