4th Annual High School Choir Camp
This July 13-17, the Shrine will host its 4th annual high school choir camp for children with different levels of musical experience. During this five-day camp, students will learn chant, how to follow musical instruction, and how to sing in a sacred space, among many other skills.
Details
Children ages 13-17 will study different elements of music in an engaging atmosphere. The camp is led by three experienced music instructors, including the Shrine’s own Sacred Music Director Scott Turkington. Each day begins at 9:15 a.m. and concludes before the 12:15 p.m. Mass. The young vocalists are invited to sing in the choir loft for Holy Mass each day.
With this camp—and the Shrine’s twin ministry earlier in the summer held for younger children—the Shrine’s music department works to help young Catholics discover the riches of liturgical music and its ability to raise the heart to God.
How to Register
Registration is now open. The cost is $50 per child, with discounts available for families with multiple children. Total cost per family is capped at $150. Register now!
