Corpus Christi
What does Corpus Christi mean?
The words “Corpus Christi” mean “Body of Christ” and are another name for the “Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ” celebrated on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday. This solemnity marks with particular emphasis the doctrine of Christ’s real presence—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist.

12:10pm – Outdoor Eucharistic Procession*

Between the Spanish and English Masses, at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, a Eucharistic Procession will take place on the Shrine grounds with two outdoor altars and Benedictions at the Memorial to the Unborn and at the Stations of the Cross, a third and final Benediction will be given in the Shrine Church prior to the start of the 1 p.m. Mass. (Outdoor procession is weather-permitting)
Pilgrims participating in the Eucharistic Procession will meet in the Church Narthex at 12:10 p.m.
