Diocese of La Crosse Hispanic Day of Pilgrimage
The Diocese of La Crosse invites all the faithful — and in a particular way our brothers and sisters of Hispanic heritage — to a Day of Pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, to honor the Mother who came to the Americas as one of her own children.
In 2021, the Vatican affiliated our Shrine with the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. By this affiliation, those who come on pilgrimage to the Shrine in La Crosse receive the same graces and blessings as if they had made the pilgrimage to the Basilica in Mexico City — a great gift for the many who cannot travel to Mexico to fulfill a promise made to Our Lady.
8:00 AM — Pilgrims arrive
8:30 AM — Dancing near the Pilgrim Center parking
9:15 AM — Procession up the hill
10:00 AM — Mass, with Confession
11:30 AM — Head down for lunch
12:00 PM — Lunch at the picnic tables or in the café
1:30 PM — Bus departure
