Corpus Christi
What does Corpus Christi mean? The words “Corpus Christi” mean “Body of Christ” and are another name for the “Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ” celebrated on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday. This solemnity marks with particular emphasis the doctrine of Christ’s real presence—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist.

Prism Concert “In Praise of Mary”
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe invites you to a truly unique and immersive musical experience with the Prism Concert, “In Praise of Mary.” This special concert celebrates the Blessed Virgin Mary through sacred music spanning many centuries of the Church’s rich musical tradition.
Featuring choir, soloists, brass quintet, and organ, the Prism Concert is designed to engage not only the ear, but the entire space of the Shrine church. Music will be performed in immediate succession from different locations throughout the church, allowing sound to move and unfold like light through a prism. As each piece emerges from a new direction, listeners are enveloped in the Shrine’s magnificent acoustics, creating a dynamic and contemplative experience unlike a traditional concert.
Selections will draw from a wide range of historical periods, revealing how devotion to Our Lady has inspired composers across generations. The interplay of voices and instruments, combined with the sacred architecture of the Shrine, offers an atmosphere of beauty, reverence, and wonder.
We warmly invite you to attend this extraordinary Marian concert and to experience sacred music offered in praise of the Mother of God, whose intercession continually draws hearts to her Divine Son.
