Corpus Christi
What does Corpus Christi mean? The words “Corpus Christi” mean “Body of Christ” and are another name for the “Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ” celebrated on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday. This solemnity marks with particular emphasis the doctrine of Christ’s real presence—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist.

Saint Nicholas Day
Visit with Saint Nicholas of Myra
Sunday, December 6, 2026 | Following the 1:00 PM Mass
Gather the family and join us at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Nicholas of Myra! This beloved annual tradition brings the history of the “real Santa Claus” to life for children and adults alike.
Meet the Holy Bishop
After the 1:00 PM Mass, Saint Nicholas—dressed in his traditional bishop’s miter and carrying his crosier—will visit with children at the Shrine in the church crypt.
Saint Nicholas will share the story of his life, explaining how a 4th-century Bishop in Myra became a symbol of secret generosity. He will tell the famous tale of the three bags of gold and, most importantly, share the beautiful story of the very first Christmas and the birth of the Savior.
Festivities & Traditions
In the spirit of the Saint’s legendary kindness, the day will include:
Storytime & Photos: Families are encouraged to bring their cameras for photos with the Saint after he shares his stories.
