
Youth Choir Camp 2026
June 22-26, 2026
Children ages 7-13 will study different elements of music in an engaging atmosphere and have the opportunity to sing for Mass. This five-day camp begins at 9:15 and concludes before the 12:15 Holy Mass, for which the young vocalists are invited to sing in the choir loft each day.



Cathy Rodland Organ Recital
Dr. Catherine Rodland, whose performances have been described by The American Organist as “transcendent,” is an acclaimed concert artist and pedagogue. Currently serving as the Artist in Residence at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, she is a leading figure in the American organ scene, known for her technical brilliance and soulful interpretations.
Professional Background
At St. Olaf College, Dr. Rodland teaches a full studio of organ students and leads classes in music theory and ear training. Beyond her academic role, she has served as the organist for the First United Church of Christ in Northfield since 2023. Her career is marked by prestigious awards and high-profile appointments, including:
First Prize Winner: International Organ Competition at the University of Michigan.
Prizewinner: American Guild of Organists (AGO) Young Artists Competition (1994, 1998) and the Calgary International Organ Competition.
Guest Artist: Featured performer for the American Guild of Organists National Conventions and National Public Radio’s Pipedreams.
Artistry and Recordings
Dr. Rodland’s repertoire is vast, recently featuring a complete cycle of the organ symphonies of Louis Vierne following a research sabbatical in Paris. She is also one-half of the Rodland Duo, performing alongside her sister, violist Carol Rodland.

Education
Dr. Rodland graduated cum laude from St. Olaf College before earning both her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Eastman School of Music. While at Eastman, she was a student of the legendary Russell Saunders and was awarded the prestigious Performer’s Certificate and the Ann Anway Award for excellence in performance.
