First Saturday Mass – May Crowning
The faithful are invited to make a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on May 2 to participate in the May Crowning of Our Lady, which will take place during the 12:15 pm First Saturday Holy Mass.
The Holy Mass will be offered by one of the Shrine priests. During the liturgy, Our Lady will be crowned by Our Lady’s Handmaids as an expression of love, honor, and devotion. The crowning of Our Lady is a cherished tradition of the Church, especially fitting for the month of May, which is dedicated in a special way to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
As a First Saturday, this celebration also invites the faithful to deepen their devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through prayer and participation in the Holy Mass. We warmly invite pilgrims to join us in offering our filial love to Our Blessed Mother, Queen of Heaven and Earth, and to entrust ourselves to her maternal care.
