Marking 18 Years Since the Dedication of the Shrine Church
On July 31, 18 years ago, His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke dedicated the Shrine Church of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to its sacred goal of bringing pilgrims closer to Jesus Christ through the maternal mediation of His Mother and ours, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Shrine Milestones
With this dedication, the Shrine celebrated seven years of construction, from 2001 to 2008. In that time, the Shrine had already built and dedicated several other devotional areas, including the Pilgrim Center, the Rosary Walk, the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Chapel, and more.
In the 18 years since this dedication, the Church has seen countless pilgrims visit the Shrine Church for worship. And the Shrine has continued to grow. Most recently, work has begun on the new Saint Juan Diego Pilgrim House.
