Feast day of Saint José Sánchez del Río
Saint José Sánchez del Río was fourteen years old when he fought against enemies of the Church during the Cristero War. He was captured, imprisoned, and tortured for refusing to deny Christ; and his last words showed his deep, strong faith: “¡Viva Cristo Rey! ¡Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!” (Long Live Christ the King! Long Live the Virgin of Guadalupe!).
Relic Veneration for St. José will be available after the 8:30 am and 12:15 pm Masses.
